It’s a sustainable industry which stimulates the local economy and has undergone notable innovation in agricultural techniques and technologies which optimise production, sustainability, quality and taste of the produce. The industry complies with strict measures regarding sustainability and environmental protection.

And from this, the campaign «Cute Solar: Cultivating the taste of Europe in solar greenhouses» was born. It’s a promotional, information- and education-based programme co-financed by the European Union, lasting three years with an investment of more than €1,950,000. It will take place in Spain, Germany and Belgium and will primarily consist of a content dissemination strategy within the digital realm.

OBJECTIVES

The promotional public information campaign «Cute Solar: cultivating the taste of Europe in solar greenhouses» has the following objectives:

Inform the consumer of the advantages and benefits of consuming fruit and vegetables produced in European solar greenhouses as well as informing the consumer about the contributions this production method makes in the field of environmental, social and economic sustainability.

The information provided to users and consumers is based on truthful, verifiable data and is presented in a didactic and accessible way.

The Assembly of European Fruit, Vegetable and Horticultural Regions is a European association created in 2000 on the initiative of a group of Spanish, French and Italian regions.
It represents the voice of fruit, vegetable and horticultural regions and their producer organisations in Europe.
The specificity of the AREFLH, which is its strength, lies in its original structure. It is composed of two colleges: the College of Regions and the College of Producers. The complementarity of these two colleges allows for joint work and common positions between regions and producers’ representatives.
